Beach House Retreats on LBI — Long Beach, United States
Beachfront retreat homes on Long Beach Island for groups seeking ocean views, community space, and year-round gatherings.
Beach House Retreats on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, offers a collection of beachfront homes designed for large groups seeking retreat space with ocean and bay views. The properties range from 3-bedroom homes sleeping up to 9 to 8+-bedroom homes accommodating up to 27 guests. Each home sits third from the Atlantic Ocean on a quiet, dead-end street, providing access to white sugar sand beaches while remaining removed from the island's main traffic corridors.
The homes are furnished with substantial common areas and kitchen facilities built for group living. Each property features a rooftop hot tub, fully stocked kitchens with professional-grade appliances (including Thermador ranges, 48-inch Weber grills, and Blackstone flattops), multiple living rooms, and over 40 indoor and outdoor games. Bedrooms are individually named—Starfish, Shell, Flamingo Palm, Wave, Sand Dollar—and equipped with reading lamps and storage. The properties are child, elder, and pet friendly.
The retreat model operates on two tracks: retreat leaders and their groups can book the homes to conduct organized programs, or self-directed groups interested in bicycling, windsurfing, SUP, hiking, scrapbooking, surfing, book clubs, wine tastings, or brewery visits can use the space as a home base. Beach House Retreats actively seeks retreat partners and operates year-round, with retreats available September through June; summer bookings are available at higher weekly rates.
Long Beach Island itself provides the setting: the pages note its slow pace in off-season months, local festivals, and dramatic natural phenomena including horizontal rain during storms and winds reaching 70 mph. The island's sunsets are described as inspiration for local art gallery paintings. Guests are advised to use back Beach Avenue during heavy weather when the Boulevard floods, and to secure doors and vehicles in high winds.
Programs: Corporate Workshops, Book Clubs, Reunions, Multi-Generational Family Vacations, Destination Wedding Stays, Bachelorette Weekends, Holistic and Spiritual Retreats, Worktreats (remote work retreats)
